FISM – Dag 3
Tijdens dag 3 van FISM hebben wij het iets rustiger aangepakt. Dit wil zeggen 1 lezing, in de namiddag de podiumwedstrijden bijgewoond en de rest van de dag de honderden dealers bezocht.
De enigste Belgische deelnemers ‘Doble Mandoble’ aan de wedstrijd podiumgoochelen in de categorie komisch goochelen hebben de zaal plat gekregen. We are proud to be Belgians! Verder lezen…
FISM – Dag 2
De tweede FISM dag ben ik na een kort bezoek aan de dealers de hele voormiddag de close-up wedstrijd gaan bekijken. Wat onmiddellijk duidelijk was, is het feit dat de zeer oude zaal (of beter open ruimte) totaal niet geschikt is voor close-up optredens vermits de schermen zeer slecht zichtbaar zijn voor de toeschouwers op de tribune door het daglicht.
FISM – Dag 1
Na een korte nachtrust dankzij Engelse luidruchtige meeuwen en een goed Engels ontbijt zijn we richting Winter Garden getrokken voor de eerste FISM dag. Dat het FISM nog lang in ons geheugen zal gebrand zijn, is vanaf de eerste dag reeds duidelijk. Nadat het officiële FISM lied op het Pera House werd losgelaten, meegezongen door de meer dan tweeduizend aanwezige goochelaars, ging het FISM van start met een schitterend openingsgala.
Na het openingsgala zijn we de dealer zaal ingetrokken. Met een paar extra effecten die toegevoegd werden aan het “I want that!”-lijstje. Na een paar uur doorgebracht te hebben in de dealer zaal, was het tijd voor de eerste lezing van het FISM door Joshua Jay. Schitterende lezing en alweer een paar ideeën rijker om over na te denken.
Pre-FISM dag
Na een vlotte 8 uur durende rit door België, Frankrijk en Engeland zien we opnieuw het vertrouwde symbool van Blackpool voor ons opdagen, nl Blackpool Tower.
Vermits FISM pas op maandagochtend daadwerkelijk van start gaat, zijn wij deze namiddag Blackpool nog even onveilig gaan maken. Dankzij het mooie weer, konden we op verschillende terrassen ons vochtpeil op het juiste niveau houden.
De avond hebben we afgesloten met een lekkere mixed grill schotel en een bowling wedstrijd. Hierna zijn we nog even snel de Ruskin bar gaan verkennen waar Garrett Thomas zijn magie los liet op de vele toeschouwers.
A roadtrip to Blackpool
3 goochelaars, één auto én 817km asfalt voor de boeg.
De weg is uitgestippeld en we zijn klaar voor de roadtrip naar het FISM 2012 te Blackpool!
Damn, it’s gonna be fun!
FISM-programma vrijgegeven!
Waar iedere FISM 2012 deelnemer al maanden zat op te wachten, is eindelijk losgelaten op de wereld, nl. het FISM-programma!
Let wel, dit is het voorlopig programma dus hier zullen de komende weken waarschijnlijk nog een aantal wijzigingen doorgevoerd worden.

All 11 stars will sit at different tables and 20 persons sit at each table. The persons can request help with a trick, ask personal questions, get the performer to show his favourite trick etc. After 10 minutes a bell will sound and every performer moves along one table. It should be fun!.

Beetje bij beetje begint de Blackpool Magic Club informatie vrij te geven over het FISM 2012.
Het wordt nog afwachten wat de organisatie voor ons allemaal in petto heeft gedurende de FISM week maar de lijst van wedstrijddeelnemers werd wel reeds vrijgegeven.

Welkom op Kim Dèrvan’s blog waar u alles kan volgen van de belevenissen van de Belgische goochelaars tijdens het Wereldkampioenschap Goochelen 2012 te Blackpool.
Wat houdt FISM eigenlijk in?
Het FISM Wereldkampioenschap Goochelen werd de eerste maal georganiseerd in 1948 te Lausanne (Zwitserland). Sinds dat jaar organiseerde het FISM ieder jaar het Wereldkampioenschap Goochelen. Vanaf het jaar 1952 werd dit kampioenschap iedere 3 jaar georganiseerd. Het vorig WKG ging door in 2009 te Beijing (China). In 2012 zal het WKG voor de 25ste maal georganiseerd worden te Blackpool (Engeland).
Het Fédération Internationale des Sociétés Magiques (FISM) is de drijfkracht achter de organisatie van het Wereldkampioenschap Goochelen en heeft een grote reputatie op het vlak van het organiseren van grote congressen waarbij de wereldtop binnen de goochelwereld steeds aanwezig is.
